Historical mural
In September 1939, near Leczyca, on the Bzura River, for more than a week a 200,000-strong Polish army attacked a twice-strong German army advancing on Warsaw. Although the Polish cavalry units ultimately stood no chance against the Nazi tanks, their heroism and patriotism sent a clear message that the Poles would not give up easily. On our mural in the center of Leczyca, the figure of a charging cavalryman is a symbol of indomitable bravery and patriotism. Glory to the heroes!
